Watch Jamillia Kaye’s reflection on ROOTED, legacy and creativity in this feature by WQED Pittsburgh as part of their Voice of the Arts series.
Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 4:00 p.m at Catapult Greater Pittsburgh for the second installment of ROOTED, an audio-visual exhibition by artist Jamillia Kaye, curated by Audra Lee.
This expanded presentation features twenty portraits of creative leaders whose work has made a meaningful impact on the communities around them. Through photography, original poetry, and recorded reflections, ROOTED offers an intimate look at the people behind the spaces, ideas, and experiences that bring others together.
Originally created in honor of Jamillia’s late friend Alicia Anglin, the project has grown into a broader reflection on care, legacy, and the question: Who holds space for the space holders?
